General information
The protection of your personal data is important to us. Personal data are individual details about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data (for example name, address or email addresses) are collected on our pages, this is done, as far as possible, always on a voluntary basis. These data are not passed on to third parties without your express consent.
We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- IP address
- date and time of the server request
- file requested
- amount of data transferred
- browser type / browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL (the website from which the requested file was called up)
These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check these data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of unlawful use.
Use of cookies
This website partly uses so-called cookies. These do no harm to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
When you unlock access to the training documents, we set the technically necessary cookie “dl_auth”. It only contains an encrypted identifier of your access, expires automatically after 30 days and serves exclusively to provide you with the requested documents (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not use tracking or analytics cookies.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provide there (name, email address, subject and message), are stored by us or by the responsible course leadership for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The enquiry is sent by email to the responsible contact person.
The processing of these data is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and for the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time; an informal message by email is sufficient. The data remain with us until you request their deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose for storing the data ceases to apply.
Requesting the training documents
We provide the curricula, the fee schedule and the module literature in a protected download area. When you request the documents, we process the details you provide (title, first name, last name, email address, phone number and the courses you are interested in) in order to give you access to the documents and to contact you about the training.
To confirm your email address we use the so-called double opt-in procedure: you first receive an email with a confirmation link; only after you have opened it do we send you your personal access link. This ensures that nobody can enter someone else’s email address. As proof of your request and confirmation, we store the respective time and the IP address used.
The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and on the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); storing the proof is based on our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate proper consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your details are only accessible to IMIT and the responsible course leadership.
Unconfirmed requests are deleted automatically after 7 days. Confirmed details are stored for 24 months after your last request and then deleted automatically. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future and request the deletion of your data; an informal message to info(at)imitberlin.de is sufficient. Deletion also ends your access to the download area.
Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (adocom e. K. on infrastructure of Linevast). The data collected on this website are stored on the host’s servers. The host is used for the purpose of the secure, fast and reliable provision of our online offering. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with the provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
Your right to information, correction, deletion and blocking
You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to correction, blocking or deletion of these data. For this purpose, and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.
